Dr. Mackay has gone on multiple mission trips to the Philippines, Nicaragua, and India. While on missions trips, Dr. Mackay operated on children with cleft lip/palate deformities, and adults with various acquired or congenital deformities of the face and body.

Dr. Mackay’s daughters, pictured above, also participated in mission trips.

Above is a picture of a child who successfully underwent bilateral cleft lip repair by Dr. Mackay in the Philippines. The photo on the left is taken before, and on the right is immediately after surgery.
