Dr. Greg Mackay is a double board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face and body. Dr. Mackay trained in plastic surgery at Emory University and then completed additional fellowship training in facial plastic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mackay has over 20 years of experience in treating patients with various cosmetic and reconstructive concerns. He is well versed in the use of all modalities available to treat patients, including the use of lasers, fillers, Botox, fat injections, chemical peels and surgical procedures. Depending on your cosmetic concerns, Dr. Mackay can inform you which procedure would be reasonable for you. With all the different options for treating patients in today's world, it is important to have a physician who is experienced in all facets of facial and body rejuvenation. He is one of only a few plastic surgeons who performs the “Deep Plane” facelift. This procedure gives longer-lasting and more natural results. He also has extensive experience in cosmetic surgery of the nose.
Dr. Mackay performs office procedures, but also maintains his own AAA certified operating room with an overnight recovery suite.
A true professional, he is a former faculty member of the prestigious Mayo Clinic and the Emory Clinic. He has earned numerous awards including the “Top Doctor Award” from Castle Connolly, the Patients Choice award from vitals.com, and is listed as one of “America’s Top Plastic Surgeons” by U.S. World & News Report.
Dr. Greg Mackay has traveled as far away as the Philippines and Central America to be involved in cleft mission trips, and has lectured in India and South America. He continues to maintain a pediatric plastic surgery practice, but his focus is now mostly cosmetic surgery. He views surgery as the special abilities God has granted him as a gift. He loves the surgical challenges and deeply cares for his patients. Dr. Mackay thinks of plastic surgery as an art form.
He is the father of three girls, and has a beautiful wife who was his college sweetheart. Dr. Mackay enjoys golf, mountain biking, swimming, and is an avid skier. He has participated in triathlons and half-iron mans. Dr. Mackay also enjoys playing guitar in his free time.
